Talk: Solidarity with Sudanese Communities
15th April 2024 marked one year since the outbreak of conflict in Sudan. Waging Peace to discuss the impact on Sudanese communities in the UK and how solidarity groups can respond.

15th April 2024 marked one year since the outbreak of war in Sudan.
In this session, Waging Peace to discuss the impact on Sudanese communities in the UK. They discuss the current context in Sudan and history leading up to this point as well as the failures of the UK government's response for people seeking sanctuary in the UK. They share insights from their community on the most pressing challenges faced by Sudanese people in the UK, and suggestions on how solidarity groups can support individuals from Sudan in and outside of detention.
