Yarl's Wood Befrienders on the BBC!

The Scar Test, a new play by Untold Theatre exploring life inside Yarl's Wood, has sold out performances  in London, Bedford and Colchester. 

Yarl's Wood Befrienders' Jess Anslow and former coordinator, Heather Jones, were interviewed for BBC2's Victoria Derbyshire show about their experiences of supporting women detained at the centre.

The Scar Test - coming to a theatre near you?

Untold Theatre is currently looking for partner organisations for a UK tour of the show in Spring 2016 (February-April). It's already had previews at The Arcola, London, Southbank Arts Centre, Bedford and Colchester Arts Centre. 

Being a partner would involve supporting the theatre group to promote the show locally and potentially sending a representative from your organisation to be on a post-show discussion panel.

The group also runs outreach workshops on the themes of the play for local schools, colleges, universities, youth theatres and refugee and asylum groups.
