Scottish Detainee Visitors are recruiting for exciting volunteer roles

Scottish Detainee Visitors relies mainly on the work of the volunteers to deliver one to one support to people detained in Dungavel immigration removal centre, in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

It's a great opportunity for anyone interested in issues of migration, asylum and detention and concerned about the challenges faced by migrants in the UK, based in Scotland, who wants to help. Each of the roles will enable you to learn more about the work of SDV, use your existing skills and gain new ones. There are varieties of different roles for you to choose!

The Group is looking for volunteers in following roles:

  • Visitors
  • Country Researchers
  • Fundraisers (Appeals)
  • Fundraisers (Events)
  • Event Assistants
  • Social Media
  • VolunteersAdministrators
