Free Training on Unlawful Detention

Habeas Corpus Project offers free training on 7th December

The Habeas Corpus Project is a law centre providing pro-bono legal representation to immigration detainees. Since December 2014 they have provided legal advice or representation to 230 individuals from 55 different nationalities and helped secure the release of 40.

They will be hosting  their  final training seminar on Challenging Unlawful Detention on the 7th December. Places are free, but limited, so please register by following the link below.

Location: UCL, J Z Young Lecture Theatre, London

 

The event will train attendees in detention law and procedure and learn to recognise and challenge unlawful detention of refugees and migrants. Speakers will include medical professionals, lawyers and students. Last year they were fully booked so make sure you book early!
