AVID AGM on Oct 4th

AVID invites you to its Annual General Meeting 2018: Detention, Activism, and lived experience

An evening celebrating and showcasing the work of the AVID network.

Including: A panel discussion on the activism of people who have experienced detention and how to bring our voices together to create change.

Speakers:

Michael from 'Freed Voices', talking on his experiences of speaking out on detention

Ridy, an activist filmmaker and speaker for Refugee Tales

+ more to be confirmed

+ a performance by Scottish Detainee Visitor's 'Life After Detention' group

We will also be relaunching the AVID Handbook for Visitors!

There will be drinks, light refreshments and the opportunity for informal discussion and to meet others from our network
